Description

It’s getting close to spring and the first flowers are out. Snowdrops are everywhere and my wife keeps bringing daffodils back to brighten up the house… they were so inspiring that I had to ‘borrow’ them for a few days to paint. I managed to return them before they were too droopy!

This is an oil painting still life of those daffodils in my usual expressive, realist style. They were such a delicate, pale yellow colour – very beautiful and very inspiring to capture their subtle shades in paint.

This is part of a series of original floral paintings.

Painting is 30 x 30cm (HxW) on canvas board.
