Description
Oil master copy painting by Gary Martin of Harvest Moon by the Tonalist painter George Inness. I did this study to understand more about how the Tonalists painted. George Inness produced some wonderful work but I felt this was a more accessible painting to learn from. There’s a wonderful glow to Tonalist work created using glazes that I explored here.
This is an oil study done as a learning exercise and therefore sizes are approximate and edges may not be uniform.
Painted on unstretched primed canvas. I will sign this artwork before sending it out.
Painting is approximately 18 x 28cm (HxW). Unframed.
